Our heavy duty wheelchairs have been developed to provide special support and improve mobility. Heavy Duty and Bariatric Wheelchairs are designed to carry heavier individuals or people that require a wider seat. Normally manufactured in reinforced steel, heavy duty wheelchairs can have an upper weight limit of up to 318kg (50 st), and come in seat widths of up to 30 inches.
Heavy duty and Bariatric wheelchairs are strong and durable, whilst maintaining maximum comfort for the user. The steel provides a strong frame that can be easily transported and stored. All of our heavy duty wheelchairs come with specialist design features to ensure security. This includes nylon reinforced upholstery, enhanced tyres and adjustable arm and leg rests.
